Go-to Green Fashion Jewelry for St. Patrick’s Day

By on February 21, 2018

This year landing on March 17, 2018, St. Patrick’s Day is a day for learning about Irish culture, remembering their Patron St. Patrick, and more often than not celebrating with friends, loved ones, and strangers by drinking and pinching one another all day.

To avoid some of that unwanted pinching, this year, we’d like to offer our PJD readers something to help celebrate St. Paddy’s in style! What better way to wear green than with designer fashion jewelry pieces?

Some of our PJD favorites including Tacori and Simon G. craft especially beautiful staple pieces while popular contemporary designers such as Roman + Jules and Doves by Doron Paloma extend brilliant takes with the holiday’s thematic color.

Keep reading to pick your favorite fashion jewelry accessory for St. Patrick’s Day 2018.

Golden Globes 2018 Fashion Jewelry Looks to Love

By on February 1, 2018

Midway through awards season and we’ve already seen a little bit of everything. And yet the most notable awards show fashions were seen at this year’s Golden Globes. In addition to many of the women (and some men) wearing black in a collective show of support for this year’s “Time’s Up Movement,” each star in attendance still managed to stand out from one another due in large part to their showstopping fashion jewelry and accessories. Complementing their black ball gowns, the women of TV and film adorned themselves in an endless flurry of dazzling white diamond and glittering gemstone jewelry fit for royalty.

More often than not, the women on the runway opted for bigger-than-big diamond earrings to highlight their faces and larger-than-life diamond necklaces to complement the daring necklines of their attire.

Below, we look at a few of our favorite diamond earring looks and similar designer pieces we’ve found that capture the overall essence of their looks.

Stylish Matching Wedding Bands for Brides and Grooms

By on November 21, 2017
Matching Wedding Bands for Brides and Grooms

Worn by women for hundreds of years, it isn’t until recently (since World War ll) that men have joined in on the tradition of wearing wedding bands to mark their union. And with an endless selection of designers and styles, modern couples can easily express their shared love for one another with matching wedding bands while still showing off their individual style.

Matching wedding bands is a great way to publically honor the marriage for a lifetime to come, but what does matching really mean? it could mean a number of things, but for our purposes we are considering matching wedding bands, bands that are complementary in precious metal (yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, platinum, etc.), similar stone use (diamonds, colored diamonds), same style (pave, prong, channel), and/or same finish (polished, matte, hammered). What’s more, many contemporary designers craft bridal rings for both men and women, so couples have an easier time finding matching bands from their favorite designer.

To make your shopping experience easier, below we select matching women’s and men’s wedding bands from some of our favorite designers in traditional, contemporary, and alternative styles.

“Something Blue” Fashion Jewelry Pieces for the Stylish Bride

By on November 2, 2017

With this year coming to a close and engagement season coming up, it’s time to once again revisit all our favorite bridal things. Not to be overlooked, the fashion jewelry a bride wears on her big day matters just as much as the wedding dress itself. And while there are multiple ways of tackling bridal fashion jewelry, some brides look to family traditions when shopping for their bridal jewelry. One we see every year in the PJD office is the “something borrowed, something blue” Old English Rhyme. Once thought to bring luck and a promise of fertility, now it has become a wonderful tradition for brides to observe if they want.

While there are many clever and interesting ways for brides to wear their four ritual items, we thought it would be interesting to look at possible fashion jewelry to meet one of the special criteria. For brides still looking for their “something blue,” we’ve discovered an array of gorgeous blue-hued fashion jewelry pieces that fit the stylish bride-to-be perfectly.
