Power Pieces for the New Year

January 8, 2018

Welcome to the new year! After the sorrows of 2017, we’re welcoming 2018 with the hope that it can’t be worse than the two years before. We’re jumping on the positivity train this time around, starting out January with new habits, a new outlook, and maybe even a new wardrobe. So why not add new jewelry to that list?

We’re turning to our good friends at Albert’s Diamond Jewelers to help ring (no pun intended!) in the new year. Visit their website to find all of the pieces we’re going to be turning our spotlight on today!

Glitzy Diamond Necklaces

If we’re talking about “dazzle,” in the new year, there’s nothing more eye-catching than a trove of fiery diamonds. When you’re picking a diamond necklace, one of the most forward-thinking options is to pair diamonds with radiant materials and inventive designs. That’s why we chose the Kabana GPCF206XX and the A. Jaffe PN0495 from the designer’s One of a Kind collection.

The GPCF206XX blends dozens of round diamonds with a tear-shaped opal at the center of the pendant, the dazzling inner rainbow of the diamonds reflecting the swirling colors of the opal, all set in lustrous 14-karat yellow gold.

The One of a Kind collection PN0495 covers the “inventive design” qualification. Like draping a garland of flowers around your neck, the PN0495 is a delicate necklace in 14-karat white gold that has the playful charm of a string of daisies. But with pave-set diamonds on every petal and leaf, there’s a timeless beauty in this necklace that will outlast any bouquet.

Marco Bicego Fashion Rings

We here at Premiere Jewelry Designs keep coming back to Marco Bicego as an example of one-of-a-kind looks, and that’s not a trend we foresee changing in 2018. Take a look at the two rings we picked, and we suspect that it won’t be long until you start putting together a new wardrobe in your head, using these rings as the linchpin of the ensemble.

Is there anything more mysterious and refined than lapis lazuli? The AB568-LP-Y fashion ring from the Marco Bicego Lunaria collection takes advantage of the midnight blue of the stone and the starry night from the gold in the lapis to create a ring that matches the long nights of winter. The unadorned 18-karat yellow gold of the band merely adds to the simple chic that this ring brings to a woman’s hand.

For a wild design, turn to the Marco Bicego AG273-B, jewel of the Marrakech collection. Almost like the dazzling jewelry of ancient Egypt or North Africa, the AG273-B hangs 0.15 carat of diamond from scored hoops of 18-karat gold that

Inventive Wedding Bands

If you’re planning on having a New Year’s wedding, there’s no reason why your wedding bands can’t be innovative and cool like every other piece of jewelry! We picked two wedding bands from Tacori and Henri Daussi to illustrate our point.

The Tacori Sculpted Crescent 134-6WR juxtaposes two different metals. We selected the 18-karat white gold and yellow gold design, but the ring comes in a dazzling assortment: 18-karat rose gold and white gold, platinum and yellow gold, or rose gold and platinum! Plus, the design of the center of the band is classically gorgeous, interlocking half-circles and diamond shapes to make a glamorous pattern.

Or for inventive new materials, take the Henri Daussi women’s wedding band R1-11 E. Though the ring utilizes either 18-karat white gold or platinum, depending on the choice of the model, it’s the black rhodium and champagne-colored brown diamonds that take our breath away. The shining black metal settings serve to make the pale caramel diamonds even more radiant. It’s a perfect wedding band for the taste of a new year.
