The History of the Award-Winning Jewelry Brand Kirk Kara

Kirk Kara is one of the most renowned brands in the world of wedding jewelry. They are known for their stunningly intricate designs that pay homage to vintage styles popular in years past.

The Kirk Kara brand started in the late 1890’s by Kirk Karaguezian’s grandfather who was an artisan in Armenia He was known for his stunning hand-engraved rings inspired by Armenian culture, but sadly was killed in the genocide. His son continued on the legacy with a store in Beruit, and the wedding band he created for his wife is the basis of all Kirk Kara designs today, even after the business moved to America.

The family that runs this business has a commitment to creating unique vintage-style pieces as they hold the sanctity of marriage near and dear to their hearts. In this blog post, we’ll highlight some pieces that exemplify what this brand is all about.

Doves by Doron Paloma: Redefining Gemstone Jewelry One Collection at a Time

One qualm I have when investing in jewelry is finding a really unique design. There are a number of exquisite items out there, but sometimes the type of pieces you see tend to be dated. I’m interested in purchasing pieces that are artful and modern. I like the idea of a design that is eye-catching but suits me in my day-to-day.

Maybe that’s what it is that sets Doves by Doron Paloma apart from other jewelry companies that I see. Thanks to his unconventional background, Paloma has this way of approaching jewelry that is consistent, precise, and fluid. These collections suit so many tastes but still manage to break apart from the typical ideas that I have about jewelry, and that’s what I appreciate so much about his work.

Golden Globes 2018 Fashion Jewelry Looks to Love

By on February 1, 2018

Midway through awards season and we’ve already seen a little bit of everything. And yet the most notable awards show fashions were seen at this year’s Golden Globes. In addition to many of the women (and some men) wearing black in a collective show of support for this year’s “Time’s Up Movement,” each star in attendance still managed to stand out from one another due in large part to their showstopping fashion jewelry and accessories. Complementing their black ball gowns, the women of TV and film adorned themselves in an endless flurry of dazzling white diamond and glittering gemstone jewelry fit for royalty.

More often than not, the women on the runway opted for bigger-than-big diamond earrings to highlight their faces and larger-than-life diamond necklaces to complement the daring necklines of their attire.

Below, we look at a few of our favorite diamond earring looks and similar designer pieces we’ve found that capture the overall essence of their looks.
