So, let’s say you’re the kind of DIY babe who doesn’t settle for the prêt-à-porter look. You gladly accept the label of “clothes hipster”, you only drink artisanally-crafted coffee, and when it comes to jewelry, you only pick glam that is utterly one-of-a-kind.

But if you’re not a jewelry designer, it can be difficult to give your dreams a solid structure. But don’t worry, Premiere Jewelry Designs has you covered: We’ve got a few inspiration suggestions that may help you in your design quest.

Color

When you’re working with custom jewelry designs, you might be inclined to think that you’re only allowed to work with “certain” jewels. But that’s the magic of custom jewelry: You can do pretty much anything you want!

A piece of fashion or bridal jewelry can be made with different tones of gold (such as 18k white, yellow, or rose gold) or more exotic materials, like tungsten and titanium. And of course, the choice of jewels depends on your tastes.

Designers like Henri Daussi and Noam Carver already work with stones like black diamond and electric-green tsavorite, which only opens the door to you making unexpected pairings of your own.

Diamonds

However, if your heart’s set on white diamonds, there are plenty of options available for you, too. There are options available that allow you to play with the size and setting of your preferred diamonds. This ample playground includes traditional choices like prong-set and bezel-set stones, but if you want to do something really outre for your custom jewelry, try a different type of setting:

Some really impressive modern styles include the invisible setting, tension setting (which allows a diamond to float in space), and burnish setting. Alternatively, you can opt for something luxurious, like the kinds of pave wedding bands designed by Tacori. For some good notes on what makes pave styles exceptional, throw a look their way.

Shape

Gemstone and diamond rings are lovely by virtue of their stones, but it’d be a mistake to overlook the eye-catching grace that a unique band design adds to the overall appeal of the piece. As with the other two categories we’ve covered, there are very few limits on the kind of designs that a skilled artist working with modern technology can work into a custom piece of bridal or fashion jewelry.

For instance, let’s say you want to make a halo ring for your engagement, but the halo is shaped like a heart, studded with your guy’s birthstones, and surrounding a piece of your birthstone as the center gem. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t ask for exactly what makes your heart beat a little faster.
